Hello everyone. I have just purchased a 1977 kz1000 . upgraded from and 82 kz650 that stopped working and had way too many problems. i have just ridden a 3 hour ride and it was a lot of fun and tiring as well with city traffic. I hope i can learn a lot from this site when it comes to maintenance on this bike. i know i will have to invest in a factory service manual but do not have the money at this time.

Welcome to KF and congrats on the new ride. The KZ has it's goods and bads, but ya gotta love the simple way of life. Not pushing you off any, but kzrider.com has a good following. Some good info on your new ride. Congrats again and yes, that manual comes in handy.
