right now, I am seeing a cylinder size of 47mm for the G3TR and 49.5mm for the G3TR-A.

piston clearances-G3TR=.036, G3TR-A=.046mm

yes it does thank you !! ......time to go on e-bay ...... need too purchase the clymer manual for this bike so i can get educated on it

I'd search for an old copy of the factory manual first, IMHO. My experience with Clymer is that they sometimes omit precisely the information you need! Good luck on the search!

thank you the down load will help out a lot.....this forum is very helpful great members now with all the information i got its time to get to work on the bike and start getting the needed parts to get it runinng

No kidding. Just give me the piston size and the clearance. Talk about backwards engineering. I would love to have a factory manual on this older ride.....hint wink or something along that line. Where is my pm 2fat2fly of a factory manual? please

IT would be waaaaay tempting to ask the obvious question: Why don't they make user-friendly, GREAT beginner bikes like these anymore? I think we know the answer...too costly to produce, too many lawyers, additional parts to catalog--spares, not enough return on sales, 2-stroke pollution, blah, blah. Oh the days of simple, (relatively) inexpensive fun..... Hang on to your oldies, guys.
