new and ignorant kawasaki rider
hey. My names Dallin. I recently bought a 1993 ZX6E Ninja. I'm loving every minute of it with the expception of the noises caused by the warn down chain and sprockets which will be replaced in about a month. I'm 21, 22 in July and this is my second bike. My first was a 1982 650cc Yamaha which my buddy decided to wreck and shattered his knee cap along with it. I've had the ninja for about three months and just took my road test for the license a week or so ago so I'm all legal (finally). The bike is a little old, and I'm more than a little poor so I'll be takin care of the maintanance and mechanical work on it myself as it comes up but I'm sure I'll be needing a lot of help and it looks like this is the right place to get it. the bike has been layed down goin less than ten miles an hour so I'll be trying to do some of the restoration myself like filling in the gaps of the scratches, sanding it, priming it, and painting it as well as trying to get some of the rust out of it and replacing some of the engine caps. I'm excited to find such an awesome forum where the level of arrogance (refering to local dealerships) is at a minimum if any. I've include a pic of me and the bike on a nice cruise through the mountains yesterday.
