cleveland oh

there, i followed it to a T. anyway, my name is kyle. i have been out of the motorcycle world for about 4 years, and i decided its time to get back in it. i am picking up a 93 zx11 on wednesday as long as my funding transfer goes smoothly. 12" extended swing arm, blacked out everything, purple led kit, 33kmiles but the motor has recently been completely worked over. the guy showed me a dyno sheet of 160whp. never been dropped, never seen an accident other than a broom falling on it in the garage, which left a small scratch on the front fender. heres some pics. also, i noticed there was a "C" and "D" version of this bike. can anyone tell me the main differences between the 2 other than the years they were made?

Welcome to KF Kyle.

Congrats on the new toy. I am not a fan on stretched street rides, but each to their own. That is what motorcycling is all about.

I do not have the C manual to compare the two, try the fiches for the comparisons.

OEM Parts Kawasaki Ninja ZX-11 (ZX1100-C4) 1993 1993 ZX1100-C4 (H8) EBONY - Cheap Cycle Parts

Good luck with the new ride, gear up and enjoy

did some minor mods that please me more to look at. painted the exhaust black, and took apart that gaudy chrome tail light and blacked out the inside. the only left to black out on the bike is the rims, which will be powder coated this winter. i have to take them off anyway to get new tires.

Looks good, Beast! Just tossing this out, sometime you may want to consider (maybe)getting/making a roller-type chain tensioner on the underside of your swingarm, located between the braces. With that much extension on your arm, when you whack into it, you're creating a LOT of slack in your bottom run of chain. Looks like you've already noticed this, with the amount of chain tension. You don't want that puppy coming off at 10K.
How's your timing slip? Your launch should be super with that much arm! Runnning the stock teeth?

i hear ya on the roller tensioner. the chain is a little tighter than normal, but then again, i do have an extra foot of chain haha. WOT from 0-170 it holds up ok for now, but im looking into "safer" options. if by timing slip, you mean track time, i dont know yet, i need to get there before they close for the season. ive ran into 2 problems with that, either the ground is way too cold, or the ground is warm, but raining. thanks cleveland. and yes, my launch is SWEET with this arm, no feathering required, just get on it and go. the only thing ive come across is my back wheel breaking loose.

What kind of tire pressure are you running? Drop the rear down to about 25psi. If you're serious about straight line (and guessing by that swingarm, you are) I would install an air shifter; makes a WORLD of difference.
