I'm hoping to drop into the 10.99 this year..

last year I had a few probs. my launches were very bad.. thats worked out but still need a little work.. and i only got to the track 3 times and 2 out of the 3 I for got my clear visor for my helmet, so it kinda sux running down the track in the dark with a mirror visor.
But I think that this is the year for it. I know the bike is capable.. and... well with me on it 130lbs

My rex makes more tq, but I leave around 3400 to 3800 rpms any more and you will be left at the line with no arms.

It been awhile that was 1997. I think around 5000 gave good control the only mod to the bike was droped one toth up front, anything more and I was backing off the throtle to put the front wheel down. The magazines at that time period said the best qt was 11.71, but I was on one of the fastes tracks nation wide Houston Raceway Park.

up at eppeing were I work the pit on a pro comp alcohol blown car. there is a guy that runs 9.8's on a 02 zx6r just like mine.. I hear that he launches the bike at about 8k[&:] I have yet to talk to him to see what is done to the bike but from what I see is a full Muzzy system, UNI stickers, Jet stickers, and the bike is dropped to the ground.
