Default New to this forum (looking to get a bike soon)

hey guys, I'm shawn and i've been into cars more than bikes, but here in SoCal i'm tired of traffic, and the need for 2 wheels has gotten stronger and stronger. So i've been talking to my friends who ride, and most of them tell me to get a Kawi, and I don't know much about them, so I'm joining the forums to learn more about them to make a good choice. Looking for a Sport bike. So far i've been told to go for a 600cc+ and 07+ due to some issue from 06 with the motor. I'll try to figure get my answers using the search button first before posting any questions.

Welcome, Roller! (Your friends are exactly right as for KAWI's.) As for what size? Oy; that's been debated on here ad nauseum. If you have specific questions or ideas about what what you think you might want, or why, we can do our best to offer advice. What we can't control is your maturity level, wallet, or mechanical skill. We'll point you in the best direction we can, based on your questions. You don't have to wait until you get entirely confused going through internet searches; ask away!
Welcome again.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm 30 almost 31 so i have no urge to be a stunter. I want a sport bike of 600ccs or better that's f.i. and comfortable for a 6'2" Guy to ride. So that's where I'm starting on my search.

Welcome to KF! When you go to the dealer he will tell you that you will outgrow the 600 and you should buy the 1000 instead, when you hear that move on to the next salesman. I would suggest starting on the 500, but if you need the supersport you shouldnt get anything bigger than the 6, it is a racebike and you wont be disappointed. Have fun and ask away.
