hey guys bein here in myrtle beach and watching all the bikers has got me itching for a bike now, only problem is i dont know where to start to look for one, as in which model i should start off with, im tryin not to spend more than 3 grand for a used one, im not sure which year i should get. the only bike i've ridden on is a kawasaki ninja when i was like 11 i dont remember the model.

leaning towards a ninja cause i love the way they look, i dont know if i want a 250 r a 500r or a zxr, which bike is a decent bike to start out with as a beginner, but wont want me to automatically trade it in after i get the hang of it for something faster?

thanks for the help lookin forward to being here!!

yup...welcome to the forums!! That 250 would be a great bike to start on, but you might outgrow it, if you're looking for power, which I think you are...so maybe a used 500...then if you drop her, it won't make you feel so bad..even if you get a 1985 kawi just to learn on, for $500 or so, wouldn't be a bad deal...whatever you find man, good luck to ya...don't be a stranger. Lots of good people here..

Welcome to the forums! Either the 250 or the 500 are great starter bikes! You should be able to find a used one in your price range quite easily. Oh, you should probably take an MSF course too, it'll help. Keep us posted on how things go!

yeah first id like to say straight up safety first haha, found out it costs 225$ for the beginner msf course in myrtle beach south carolina. the my uncle had must of been a zx9 like a 94 or something cause it looks sexy as hell, when do the body styles change?

reason why i like the zx9 is cause of the body lines they're just so damn sexy!!! and i like how the seat is seperated from the back seat??? haha, and im sure if i get a zx9 with low miles on with this body style i wont want to ever get rid of it, i dont even care what color i just want this body style so bad!!!

someone just please tell me when this body style starts and ends! thanks!!!!!!
