Wink Merry meet from alberta!

Hey all, found my way here seeking a few answers, and i belive i've found most of em.

I mostly grew up riding quads, but after my last one blew up again, I just want something simpler to work on. at least a 2 stroke you expect to have to rebuild it from time to time, its kinda part of the territory. Bikes are soo much easier to work on!

last year I bought an 82 honda magna 750.. spent a bunch of mula on it, put 60 kms on it, realized i didnt like a cruiser type bike, and just recently traded it for a 2000 kx 100 (or 125???? still workin that out..)

Im pretty sure its originaly 100cc, but it might have been a 125.

at any rate, a chick once owned it, with her size it was the biggest bike she could get onto more or less, and she had it piped, n bored and all done up with pretty much everything she could so far as i understand, and lightend as much as possible?

lil bro in law bought it, and now hes ready to move onto something bigger, so i swapped him for the street bike. (He still plans to get 250 or 500 dirt bike, but i think hes done with 2strokes.. lol.. he doesnt do his own work, and this bikes cost him alot over the last couple years..)

The bike currently is still in its break in on a fresh rebuild, (crank, rod, piston, bearings etc), just on its second tank.

its a fun lil bike at any rate.

I may as well post my main concern here as well, regarding 2 stroke oil..

i found this thread here, amongst others :

https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...oke-oil-31014/

so to sum it up, run around 36:1 or 32:1 ish range, and it realy doesnt matter what kind of oil to use, weather its synthetic or semi synth or regular old 2 smoker oil, correct?

thing is i dont wana spend like 20$ on a quarter liter of oil if theres no real reason for it, especialy when i can get even semi synth and regular for under 10$ a liter on sale.

and no, I wouldnt totaly cheap out on the brand names etc, it would still be a quality brand oil.. (I learn't alot about oils in automotive school, but i never had much of anything to do with 2-strokes other than running a chainsaw till now!)

anyways, merry meet, happy riding, and stay on your bikes, not under it!

~L~
