KLX Help?

KLX Help?
Greetings all!
I acquired a 98 KLX 300 a few weeks ago and along with the "hot start" bug I've read about I seem to be fouling spark plugs VERY QUICKLY. When I pull the plug it is black as soot after only about 10 miles. When I replace the plug the bike cranks first try.
Can anyone offer any advice?
I don't have a user manual (have one ordered) so I'm flying a little blind. ANY help would be appreciated.

RE: KLX Help?
Hey Frank, welcome, hmmmm the hot start is something I know nothing about. But you might try running with the air box lid off and see if that helps. Sounds like its running too rich.

RE: KLX Help?
I put "Stabil" in my gas... would that push the "richness" over the edge?
Does anyone have a 98 KLX 300 Manual they could email? I'm waiting on mine vial snail mail. Ihate to start adjusting screws without a mapping diagram.
