Just bought my First Bike, KLX 250s!
Hello all, I just bought my first bike, a 2013 KLX 250s brand new from the dealer. I've owned it for just over a week and have ridden it just shy of 600 miles, so it's safe to say that I love the damn thing!
I joined up because I want to learn how to tune and modify something like this. I'm used to building 4x4 Broncos and Jeeps so this is a very new domain for me.
I want to do an exhaust, this thing sounds waaaay too quiet, and other than that I want to get some more low end grunt (I do some fast trail riding but I also do a lot of first gear crawling)
Thanks!
Ben

Welcome to the forums, damage. Lotsa KLX and general Kawi brains on here. They can help you with the mods for your bike(s). Just promise me you won't make that pipe TOO loud, OK? Your local LEO's and the neighbors have a weird sense of humor about such things....
Welcome, again. Looks like you have a nice stable of bikes there!!

Hey guys! I'm new here. I used to ride dirt bikes a lot 30 yrs ago and have decided I'd like to start doing some trail riding again. I picked up an 06 KLX 250S at the right price from a guy who just rode it to work and back. Still completely stock. Read that it was a good, solid, dependable bike just lacked in power. After a few rides I found it was quite weak. I've ordered a FMF Powercore 4 , a klx 300 jet kit, (same carb I learned) , and a 13 t cs spr. Anything else I should know about? And being a big guy 6/2 220 I know I 'm probably going to have to adjust the suspention but I'm not sure how. Any help with that. Sure would appreciate it. I feel after these few mods I'm gonna love this bike.
