Default Hi from Tustin, CA

Hi, I'm Steve from Tustin, CA. I have a KLR650 which is my primary bike. I just got an old 1972 F7 175 in really nice shape. My last bike in the list is a 1966 CL160 Scrambler - it was my uncle's bike.

I ride 99.999% street but do like trails from time to time. It's pretty hard to find open dirt in Orange Countyanymore, epecially with fire season.

I also post occasionally on the klr650.net site.

Cheers

Hey Steve, welcome to the site, glad you found us, the KLR 650 is a great bike, I have even rode with a few guys on single track that rode them. Hey how about a couple of pics of the 175, that would be sweet. Some of the guys in the KLX 250 section have owned or still own 650's so if you had a question I'm sure someone would have an answer. Again welcome man.

Thanks man. I posed a small pic of the bike. This was how it looked before I started to clean it. Anyone know how much these things are worth? I'd guess around $1000 in this shape. I'm not going to sell it, but it ould b nice to know what to insure it for.

Oh yeah, the only non stock thing about it is the replacement plastic front fender. No biggy.

Welcome Steve,
I hear you on the open dirt, especially with the Irvine Company building on every square inch.

Great pic of that old dual sport as well; the KLX crowd will enjoy that.

Hey Steve check out this post and there is a link in there for a guy that restores old bikes, lots of good information in there. I sent him an e-mail and he got back to me already.
