Default hey!

Hey guys,

I'm looking at a 2006 ZX6R and figured I stopped in and say hi. I do have one little question though. I didn't think of it until I got home, but is there a gas guage on the bike. I can't remember seeing one, the whole digital guage screwed me up a little.

Thanks

Not sure on the 6r, but the 10r only has an idiot light and display of fuel when it is low.

edit: oops, welcome to the forum

Welcome to the site. The bike doesn't have an actual gas tank level reader like in a car it just has a light that comes on and the space where the miles comes up will flash fuel.

i belive i get some where around 45miles to a gallon. you should get around 200 miles to a tank depending how hard you ride it. i've been any where from 180 to 210 miles on a tank of gas.

On the 05 it just has the idiot light saying low fuel. I fill it up with it only taking 3 gallons. On a 4.5 gallon tank but don't want to risk running out. Just hit the odometer? every fill up. Only getting 43 miles to a gallon right now.

Thanks guys you've been a great help. Now my last question until I buy the bike. The bike I'm looking at is literally brand new, 3 miles on it. It has the extended warranty, which doesn't mean much to me, but it's there. The kid is asking $7500 which is what's left on the loan before he gets the title. I really didn't want to spend over $7000, because I still gotta buy a new helment and make an insurance payment. Is this just a good deal and take it as it is, or really try to get the kid to budge a little?

Once again thanks.
