****EDIT****

Im looking to try and get a beater bike, something that I can learn on and not feel guilty if (or when) I drop it.

I figure a good way to go for me would be a ninja EX250, a nice light, lowpowered sport bike to get used to before I move onto something I REALLY want.

Anyways, Im in the San Fernando Valley area and I've been trolling around some of the local dealerships trying to find a good (and cheap) used one and I wanted to know if any of you guys know of any other places I could look to try and get my hands on one.

Welcome to KF. The ninja EX 250 is not a beater bike. If you wanna beater, look at the dual sports. hehe But honestly, they are alot less weight to throw around and less costly on repairs than the ninja.
