Default did i make a mistake?

Just picked up a 2010 klx250sf. The suspension is all done but the bike is otherwise stock. It's fun, just severely underpowered. I ordered the jet kit and power bomb header and q4 muffler. Along with all the obvious cosmetic parts (bars, fender eliminator, flush mounts, graphics, etc). I haven't installed the performance parts yet but will they make a difference? I have ridden a drz400sm and its performance compared to mine is night and day. Im just not happy. Should I get rid of it and try to find a different sm or stick with it and build it? pix coming soon!

I don't think the header and slip-on will make a significant difference. Especially when comparing it to your DRZ.

I made the mistake of riding a DRZ 400 a few years after I got my KLX, man that thing stock was awesome. But with the jet kit, full pipe and 13-45 setup, I got no complaints. But then again I like to explore on the gravel roads and trails, for me its not about doing 70 or 80, I love my bike.
