Ok guys i m just turning 16 and for my first bike i want either a 250 or a 500 ninja any way, I was wondering about the msf courses and how old you have to be to take one? any help would be appreciated.

 

hey welcome to the forum. the best thing to is call any MSF classes. they will have all the answers you need. make sure you gear up and ride safe. most of all, learn all you can and take your time on the bike.

 

Welcome! The 250 or the 500 are great choices. If you are just beginning I would buy a new one so you can "grow" with the bike. I have a 250 and was used to riding a 400, My 250 would make my 400 suck wind LOL. once my 250 was broken in I was doing 120! They are dogs in the beginning but you don't need anything that will throw you off the back. Great choice on the bike and good luck!

 

I was 19 when i got my first bike. It was a kaw 250. I loved it. Very fun to ride,light just an all around good bike. Has good power and does great in the twisties. And $3000 for a Brand New bike is a steal!!!! JMO

 

ok thanks guys i realy dont have any shops near me at the moment or at least any i can get 2 so i cant actually try to sit on the bikes i am 6 foot and about 210 do you think that the 250 will be enogh for me or should i go for the more expensive 500

 

I think you should probably go for the 5. I am about 5'6" and a buck 30 and fit on my 250 just fine. I think you would probably need something bigger.

Welcome to the forums! I know for a fact that here in Canada as long as you have your parent's consent, you can take the MSF at 16. I think 18 is the age they cut off at for consent. The 500's are amazing bikes! I have one and absolutely love it. Keep us posted on what you get! Good luck!

ok well i checked and the place i was looking at dosnt say its a msf course but says its the pa bike saftey course is that the same thing?
