Default 95 GPZ 1100

Hi all, new to this board and happy to have found a board for kawasaki riders. Well I sold my yamaha FZR and just bought a 95 GPZ 1100. It needs some work and some TLC but think it will make a great bike. Engine design and such seem pretty straitforward so dont see any problems there. Have heard an ignition advancer is a good idea for this bike? Also Is a jet kit a good idea? I want good performance but want a good dependable bike also. Anyway hi to everyone and look forward to talking to all. Oh also, any decent places to get parts that yall know of?
Thanks,
Richard

Welcome The Advancer will make the bike seem smoother. Look at Teds Advancer on the ZRXOA site. I believe the ZRX one will fit the GPz. The jet kit will help the bike run smoother. The bikes are very lean from the factory. Also, instead of the jet kit, you might be able to shim the needles in the carbs and turn the pilot screws out a few turns to enrichen the carbs. This helps[sm=signs007.gif]

Thanks for the info. Im not really into doing a lot of modding, but dont mind doing some to help it run better. My big problem right now seems to be finding any parts for this bike. A simple ignition coil is $80 from dealer, gotta be able to do better then that. Anyway thanks for your responses and I will be a regular on here. Will help others out when I can and will ask for help when Im stumped.
Richard
