2007 Ninja 250
Hey everyone! I'm new to this forum and going to be getting my first bike, a 2007 Ninja 250...I'm excited about this of course, because it will be my first bike and I heard that it's very forgiving on new riders (plus I love the gas mileage on this thing). Tired of spending 120 bucks in gas on a 2004 Dodge Stratus lol...Cant wait to put 300 miles on a bike and only spend 5 bucks...I have a general question though, but before I ask money is not a problem and right now I don't want a bigger bike and it wont be a waste of my time...The question is for a 2007 Ninja 250R what kind of mods would be available...
I know of the flush mounts for the lights, Pernelli Speed Demon Tires, DynoJet Stage 1/3 Jetting, Muzzy exhaust or 2 Brothers Exhaust (I prefer a full exhaust system so im going with the muzzy exhaust) and changing the sprockets...But what else could I do to customize this bike, I wanna be the only 250 in fayetteville that has been highly modified...lol...a goal i want to reach...Money isnt that big of a issue, I got a pretty high paying job which I love lol...not to sound conceited but stating a fact that money right now is not an issue...And remember I don't want a bigger bike at the time, I want something that will kill a 600 in the twisties and be light and very versatile, but I also want for it to be quick...so what can I do?

if you want to kill a 600 in the twistys it will mostly come from the rider- not the bike, its nice to have a little bit of extra power to pull the front, but it really come down to feel and smoothness. I've seen some under power dual sports kill everyone; and some 600's do the same.
Have fun with the mods and welcome.

First off, Welcome to the KF family. The 250 is a good choice for a first bike. There is one mod that will make the biggest difference in the world... the MSF course. Since it's your first bike, and you're a new rider, I highly recommend it. Hell, I recommend it to the guys who have been riding for 20 years. It makes a big difference. What's going to allow you to kill 600's in the twisties is going to be your skill level. The Ninja 250 comes factory equipped with razor-sharp handling. You just have to know how to use it. You're not going to get a 250 to outperform a 600, no matter what you do to it. Enjoy the ride, gear up, and stay safe.

Welcome. Not sure about the 250's but I would guess a full exhaust to start. Congrats and enjoy the new ride. Just curious why you didn't get the 08 with the new body style?

The reason that I didn't want to get the 08 with the new body style is because the waiting list is way too long and I want to ride now lol...Tired of waiting as it is...But yeah I would do the MSF course but im a manager at Food Lion which is a grocery store more on the east coast side of things not sure if everyone heard of it but i work more than 5-6 days a week and its kinda hard to have time for a 3 day course, and i dont want to pay 120 dollars and only be able to go for one day...that would suck, but my brother rides and he lives with me...sooo...im going to see if he can teach me some things, and ive been studying got this book called motorcycling excellence read that cover to cover researched youtube and researched the rest of the net...im ready for the hands on experience now...besides if i dropped a beautiful 08 how hard would it be to find parts compared to an 07

welcome to KF and if you drop an 07' parts would be easier but what about yourself how about those parts....MSF course....don't matter what size or year your riding, the pavement is not forgiving

Welcome to KF, I'm also new here to the site. I think it awesome that you being a new rider getting a 250 to start with instead of being a squid and getting a bike you can't handle and hurting your self. As parts go i'm not the smartest tool in the shed for bikes because I'm new street bikes, and all I ever owned while going up was dirt bikes which I had my dad fix them.
