Default new to this forum and the kx 125

hello, i just bought a 2000 kx 125, it needs a new crank, cylinder, one of the gaskets and bearings. I have never owned a 2 stroke bike before and was just wondering a couple of things. 1: mixing the gas, what are the exact measurments of gas and oil you use, and what is the best kind of oil to use in it. 2: is there a site that can help me with the maintence of a 2 stroke bike because i hear they are fussy and i know nothing about them. thanks!

32:1 gas to oil mix is pretty much the standard for any 125(thats what i run). Some mix 40:1,and some say that is too little oil in the mixture... Imix Bel Ray synthetc mixing oilin myCR125 and haven't had any problems, a lot of guys swear by it. I always use the highest pump octane i can get too. 92 or 93.

As far as a good maintenance site, I'd check out dirtrider.com forums. They have very active 2 stroke sections and a few real smart guys over there (like we have here!).
