What Makes '09 and '12 Front Brake Line Different?
I'm in the market for a front brake line for my '09 KLX250S. I see the 2009 and 2010 part numbers are the same, but the 2012 and 2013 are different. Does anyone know what makes them different? Seems like they ought to be the same and would make my search for a brake line easier.
I've seen some stainless braided for a good price but listed to fit '12 and '13.

I don't think that you'll have any issues using the line listed for the '12. The oe p/n's are different for the lines but they both use the same p/n for the m/c and caliper so the fittings should be the same. Probably just a cosmetic difference.

Do those 09+ front brake lines drop under the fork with the stainless steel tube like my '06 lines do? That part always looked like a snag waiting to happen.
Bill Blue makes a custom stainless braided line. Galfer is another well known fabricator.

Not after 2007
I believe after 2007 they no longer used the steel line on the caliper end and it does not go under the fork leg.
