Default Weak spark, no start.

Well, another thread on a hard to start KLX. I have charged the battery, cleaned the fuel injectors, checked the valve clearances. ( the inlet valves are at 0.20, limit should be 0.19mm, so they are a bit on the loose side)
The problem started as a mild misfire at lower revs, then progressed to having to bump start with a sturdy push to where I am at now. She occasionally gives a little feeble burp like attempt at starting even with a really good push down a steep hill in second.
The spark seems weak and difficult to see with the plug out and grounded.
A mechanic buddy has advised ordering a new coil and crankshaft sensor.
I am not convinced.
Any suggestions please.

One thing to check would be the suppressor in the plug wire (spark plug cap) - that is if your bike has one...

OK bike is running again. Thanks to Joel in Thailand. He pointed me in the direction of the ECU. Cleaned the contacts and applied WD40. So easy.
After tearing into almost everything, including valve clearances, Injectors, fuel controller, such a simple thing!
