Default Wash Plug stock exhaust ?

Hey guys, I have all different plugs for 2 and 4 stroke bikes but for the stock KLX 250 exhaust what do you guys use when washing, that is one small hole !!

I think you can squeeze a pea in there if you lube it first.

Ok, I get it, yeah its a small hole and all were funny... But Any real suggestions that have been used ?

Here are two:

Go get a little cork. If you can't find at the hardware store, try a beer or whine making supply shop.

Get a plastic bag and a rubber band. Cover the end of the muffler pipe and wrap it up.

you're supposed to plug the exhaust before you wash the bike ?????!!!!!!

It is real simple.

Do not spray the hose/water into the exhaust in the first place.


If your bike is not HOT then stuff a shop rag into the exhaust end and it will keep stuff from going into the exhaust unless you are using a high pressure water source such as the only you find a a do it your self car wash.

In my view you want to only use low pressure water being that the high pressure will actually force all the mud and crap into your suspension linkage, hub bearing and the like.

You can also keep the motor running while you wash the bike and the exhaust pressure will not allow water into the exhaust. Washing it while running will not hurt it and if it does then riding in the rain and crossing a stream is then bad for the bike.
