Default The toughest question about an 09 250S!

Okay, maybe not... but I did the searches and couldn't find what I needed...

No manual...

How do you set the darn clock on the 09 KLX250?

I'm tired of looking at some bizarre incorrect time and want to fix it, but I'd like to know how to do it rather than dink around with the buttons until I figure it out. Not my thing. Anyone know how to do it, please tell me.

turn ignition on, Push the RESET button for more than 2 seconds. Hour and minutes start flashing. Press RESET, hour flashes, push MODE to adjust hour, press RESET, minute flashes, press MODE. Press RESET, hour and minute flash, press MODE to exit.

OR: Disconnect the battery and hook it back up at 1 o'clock exactly.

That's what the manual says but it didn't work on my bike. Had to press both reset and mode button at the same time for about 5-10 seconds before the clock started flashing.

No no no guys!!! When you hold reset for more than 2 seconds you have to be on mileage NOT the tripometer!

yes you cant ever reset the odometer
so thats what you want to see on the screen, when holding down reset
then the time will flash

I think most bikes with digital displays do this on the odometer setting

Believe it or not I did a google search, maybe it was because I looked for how to set the clock, not reset.

Regardless, thanks for the help guys. Now I can tell when I'm late.
