Street legalizing
I was thinking about getting a 2008 Kawasaki KLX450R when it is available. I had sent an email to the Washington Department of Transportation about street legalizing it. This is what they said “If the vehicle was not originally built as street legal, it cannot be converted to be street legal. For more information, you can contact the Washington State Patrol's Equipment and Standards section at (360) 753-3697.

I went to the dealer the day earlier and asked them about street legalizing it and they had told me it easy and possible. What a load of crap! The salesman just wanted to make a sale with what he had in stock and leave me stuck with a bike that I did not want. If anyone goes to Cycle Barn in Everett be sure to kick the short bald kid about 24 years old in the head. Anyway this leaves me a lot more happy with the KLX.
