Oops, dumb question on dynojet spring

I ordered the n1tc needle and 125 main for mine. When I install that stuff I'm going to drill the slide AND run the DJ spring and see what happens. If I had a spare cvk34 I would bore it to 36 and use a 36 plate from a suzuki car.

Why not use a CVK 36 to begin with then?

I emailed Dynojet and you guys were right, the .025" by 3.5" long spring is the DJ spring. Got the bike put back together and it fired right up once I got some gas in the carb. I used the choke, but it idled about 1k less on choke and I took the choke off after about 20 seconds or so and it settled in nicely at 1300-1400 rpm. Didn't get to ride it yet and it's cold and rainy today, but I'm really looking forward to trying it out now. BTW, those that have tried ethanol free gas, can you tell a difference? I can get 93 octane non-ethanol gas about 8 or 9 miles from home.

Man...93 octane ethanol free premium...I don't think I've seen that in a long time at a gas pump...a long time. Anyway, I can't see an engine like the KLX benefitting much from 93 octane fuel. High compression and/or aggressive ignition timing are usually the main elements requiring higher octane fuel to some degree, and this bike doesn't have that demand in most states of tune or build. I do like to run at least 88 or 89 octane in my 300 jugged KLX with 11:1 compression, but that's only because in some really gnarly conditions where you end up lugging the engine...intentionally and unintentionally sometimes...I can get detonation with some of the 85-87 octane fuels. Any octane levels above that seem to be a waste.

I might try some non-premium in my small extra tank to see how the engine reacts with its advanced timing to it. It'll burn faster and could yield a bit more power, though the difference may not be detectable.
All we have here is 10% ethanol. If nothing else, ethanol would make a difference in where your jetting should be for max power.
