Newbie to the KLX 250
#3
Welcome to the forum. I also have a 2006 klx which was all stock and barely used when I picked it up. It's been heavily modified since the day I bought it. What are your plans with the klx? It's a fun bike and responds well to mods. Lets see some pictures of that klx!

Good to have another rider. Do us a favor, at least put in the state, province or country where you live. It can help should you have questions or input for others... especially on jetting and such.
For what it is worth, if you plan to do some mods, check the Cheap Mods link in my signature. It opens a google doc of low cost modifications to open up the 250. Another rider composed most of it, my brother found it while doing his 07 (or 06 I don't remember for sure). I could never find the original site so I put my brother's information into a doc in google to share. I added a note or two, one being our use of the Dial-A-Jet.
Have fun...

Hope to boost the engine power and beef up the suspension, get new tires, battery and chain and then just go riding.

Good call, good street ride and good back road/trail ride.
