New to Forum
Hi All, I have been lurking for a couple of years now, registered in 2013 but never got permission to post or reply(not sure what I did wrong). So I joined again and this time all is well with the world.
Anyway I have a 2013 250s with FMF q4 with a quite core insert. Dynojet 128 main and needle on 2n. Threw out dyno spring and put the stock spring back in.Cover on stock snorkel with some holes drilled in the cover.
I went to the newbie thread to setup an avatar and signature but that thread does not work , any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Theunis

Welcome - even if you have been lurking for years!
Since you mentioned it, was the DJ spring stiffer or softer than the stock spring in the carb? It has been a while since I did the DJ kit... so what was the result of switching back to the stock spring?
(I'd assume a softer spring would let the slide lift easier and fuel more quickly...?)
God Bless,
TC

timc63, I did the dj stage 2 when i first got the bike. My fuel mileage was really bad(when stock 145 km when it hit reserve. after stage 2 118km). My top speed also went down by 10km/h. So I started playing with different setups, bigger main jet, lid off, nothing improved so I went the other way. 128 main, needle on 2n lid on stock snorkel with some holes in the lid.stock spring which is longer then the DJ but not much smaller on wire size,I find now it is easyer to control at slower speed. With the longer spring there is a little more preload so the slider does not open as quickly.JMO.
I now have my fuel mileage back and top end speed with no loss in power. SOP(seat of pants) it seems to really take off at about 5000rpm.
