Seriously? I thought these valves where Coated, once you wear through the coating your valves are done!
Maybe I'm just crazy. ..

I believe only titanium valves have the coating.

So you really just run them until they are to wore to shim?

Once they are wore to the shim, you replace the shim with a shorter shim and let them wear some more!
