Maintenance of heavily modified KLX 250
This is my first time on this forum so... Hi everyone
I'm looking for a low maintenance supermoto and KLX 250 might be the one. Manual says that valve clearance inspect, engine oil and filter change intervals are 12 000 km.
My question is how often engine rebuild must be done and how much those maintenance intervals change after all those modifications that we can put in this bike to get some nice power? I mean big bore 330 kit, new exhaust, camshaft mod, new EFI map etc. etc.
Also how fuel consumption change after modifications?
Anyone can help?

rly noone now? I saw tons of pages on this forum about those mods but there is nothing about maintenance, you always focus on the performance. Just tell how often do you change oil, check valves and do engine rebuild after those mods. Is that so hard?

I change the oil every 2,000km or less if I off road alot. Air filter is cleaned when it gets dirty. Valves get checked ever winter. Steering and suspension bearings done at the the same time.
I would think the fork oil should be done every other year.
Spokes and chain I try to check weekly.
It's pretty basic on these bikes.
One thing I can't seem to get a straight answer to is how much you can adjust the valves before you need new valves and seats.
