Can someone help me out by letting my know where the engine number is located on the engine (maybe with a pic)? I looked in the manual, and it shows the location, but I can't seem to find it on the bike.

 

With a good flashlight look at the crankcase seam below the end cap of the starter and slightly to the back. The numbers are right side up when viewed from the right side. It would be tough to get a camera to focus on the numbers. It would be tough to read all the numbers.

I feel your frustration. I had to go find the # in the rain at the DMV so I could register the bike.
