Thumbs up L48 State bike

Well my 250 came from MI tried to register the thing only to be blocked by the CA 7500 mile rule. I didn't think they would apply this to bikes but I was sorely mistaken. A really stupid stipulation only to line the pockets of our bureaucrats. I'm not one for by passing laws but this one is really asinine so I took my cluster apart and added 7k to the mileage super EZ to do on these 07 bikes take that California and stuff it up you ****!

For a non-emissions compliant moto...it needs to be considered "used" (over 7,500 miles) for it to be registered in california...ca has very strict emissions requirements...any vehicle with under 7,500 miles is considered "new"

Buy a speedo from eBay with more than 7,500 miles to register it. Once you do this you must always use higher mileage when you sell...if you register with 7,500 miles and sell showing less miles..it will get flagged for tampered mileage and make it hard to sell or for new owners to register

Thanks for the tip but spending 170 to 200 isn't my cup of tea, I did it for free and it took me less than a half hr.

It must be an older KLX, because all the recent ones are 50-state.

Only in California would anyone consider a 7 year old motorcycle as not used.

That license plate number delete in your pic won't do any good. Eric Holder already has his minions in the FBI, IRS, NSA, and CIA using their Cray computers to decode your efforts to thwart their green **** regulations by running all possibilities of license numbers to trace back to you. Soon, governor Moonbeam himself will be knocking on your door...or breaking it down with a SWAT team...to arrest you and confiscate your bike...an of course any guns you might own. You'll soon be a prisoner of the state, relegated to working in a solar panel factory by day and forced to manufacture biodegradeable "Save the Earth" protest placards by night.
