Default KLX250s to 351 installed!

I just installed my 351 Bill Blue upgrade and kit and I just wanted to share my experience.

Some quick facts;
Bill has sold 377 of his 351 kits!
Going from a 250 to a 351 is a 33% power upgrade!
On this upgrade with a stock carb your go up 2 on the main jet and 1 on the pilot. I am in GA and have a 132 main and a 38 pilot. I have a M4 exhaust, the air box lid removed, and a Uni air filter.

I spoke with Bill a few times and he is a good guy and I would love to ride with him some day!

Trouble spots are few. I am lucky to have my riding buddy is my neighbor and that he loves to get his hands dirty. He also has almost every tool made!
The carb on the KLX is a bare to remove and re-install because it is a tight fit. I removed the metal bracket on the top of the carb that routes the throttle cables.

My engine bolts where odd because there was 4 bolts and 4 washers but the front right bolt had no washer installed from the factory and the one across had 2 washers!

Bill's 351 fits perfectly and adds power for wheelies and hills. I have had a DRZ400s and my KLX351s feels better.

I took it to Moto Mountain here in GA and it was nice to have the extra power for all those crazy hills! Here is my back to back 250 and 351 videos. The 250 footage was from 1-26 and the 351 was last Sunday...

Yawn...another big bore kit...big deal.

LOL! Well, just kidding. I'm glad to see people undertake this install rather than farm it out. It's just not that hard, and there is great satisfaction when the job is done...as well as money in your pocket. You'll enjoy the results. Good on you for doing it without a shop assistance.

Yeah buddy! I tell everyone I know with a KLX that the 350 kit is pretty much a needed mod! Best $500 you can spend on your bike if you ask me!!

Now if I could only bore my 200 to a 300! hahaa

Thanks!

It is crazy how much better it is now. It is funny because now it does all the things I wished it to do when it was a 250! Kawasaki should just make it a option. Back in 2001 I b=picked up a brand new KLX300r and would always out run my brothers 2001 TTR250 all day. Back then I considered my 300 as modern because my brothers TTR was air cooled, heavier, and he had old school forks not to mention the displacement!

Wheelie!

Back then my wife was up for a ride!

Look at how pretty!

It's funny I always wanted our 300 to have electric start, and my 250 to have a kick start.

I agree and it even says kick start around the empty kick starter hole!

It's funny you say that. It's entirely possible to have a klx 250 with electric start and kick start. I did the 351 kit when I put the kick starter in it. So now I have a electric and kick start klx351 ! It's the best of all options.
