Kick start kit
#2
FYI, I bought an entire 300 bottom end for cheaper than the kit alone.
I've often contemplated fitting the 250 stator in the 300 case to lose the starter...but the button is still nice when it works.

Is the kick start kit very expensive?
edit: yikes, seems a lot more complicated than I thought: https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...l-w-pics-9044/

Bump start
When it's more than just stalling, like the bike is flooded or just cold, bump-starting becomes a tiring, frustrating, exercise!
Also, if you do stall in sand or mud or tight forest, that kick-start will be handy.
I know it's an expensive backup to the magic button, but in my experience, you don't have battery trouble at the top of a nice big hill!

You don't always have the ability to bump-start. You'd have a tough time bump starting on some of the trails I ride: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CQkKGdQLuI
Particularly if you stalled at around 7:45 or 7:55 in that video.
