K&N Air Filter for 2009 KLX250S
#21
RC uses Twin-Air fyi.
kn are great for on-road use; but I'd argue they flow no more air than a Uni or Twin-Air.
Good to see people are using Uni's, that's what I had on my '06 KLX250S. I went Twin-Air this time to be different, like the Muzzy I have vs. the BG on my '06. When you compare the Uni vs. Twin-Air, the Twin-Air feels like a better built air filter. The Uni is more oem like in feeling and shape, the TA feels like a better built product. just my take on it. It's not as styrofoam feeling like the oem and Uni is.
Maybe I came across a little harsh lastnight, I apologize if I offended anyone.

Apparently Australia has the finest dust in the world.

I have a Uni in the klx. I run a Twin Air or Moose filters in the te450.
But I run K&N filters only on the trx250r. Why? b/c after washing them per the instructions I have had no problems. They are easier to clean and reoil, can you say that with a foam element filter? And after years and years they still warranty them. I have had three K&Ns go bad out of about eight ( the end of them pooched out after about 4 years). They only wanted to see them and they sent me back three new ones. Free of charge.
How long does a foam element last under ideal conditions?
Ever see a warranty claim on a foam filter? HAHA!

Is that the 88-89 generation model? One of the only machines ever made by the "big 4" that was an offroad machine and actually went up in value over the years.
freakin' nice!
