RE: How to check the year of manufacture from the frame number?
My frame number is LX250E-A09263.. Its written on the steering stem part of the frame.. Anyone know to read the year of manufacture?
That sounds like the engine number. The frame # aka VIN is 17 digits. The 10th digit is the model year, ie 6=2006.
The 2nd digit is the manufacturer, ie K=Kawasaki
The 1st digit is the country of origin. I thought our bike was made in Malaysia or something but my first digit is J, ie J=Japan. [&:]
