Really like the bike. I live in Indonesia and it replaced a 200 cc locally made Honda street bike. The KLX is a lot more powerful than the Honda and I do not intend to mod the engine. With that traffic here I hardly ever go fast than 50 mph. mainly ride on road and the bike is really great handles a lot better on mountain road than my little Honda.
Installed a Givi topcase and seatconcept seat for my touring.
Got 2 questions. Am I imagining things or did the bike increased it's power during the break in process? Also engine seems to run smoother than when I first got.
The headlight is decent but not good. Acc to the manual it's a 25/30 watt bulb.
Is it possible to install a standard 55/60 watt bulb and hob difficult is it.

It's not uncommon for an engine to perform a little better after break-in. Usually the difference is very minor and often only measurable on a dyno, though.
Re headlight, I'm pretty sure the North American bikes come with a standard 55/60 watt bulb, so swapping in a standard bulb should be no problem. I don't know why they'd include a measly 25/30 watt bulb?

You need to take the headlight shroud/numberplate off first - two bolts on either side, just above the headlight. One bolt below the headlight, just above the fender. I've found that the shroud won't come off without at least loosening the 4 bolts holding the front fender on - I usually loosen the 2 rear ones and remove the 2 front ones. Then the shroud comes right off. Then, IIRC, there's a bolt on each side of the headlight and then it comes out so you can access the bulb at the rear. Pull back the rubber shroud/seal, then there's a clip holding the bulb in - you need to press down on one side and then move it to the side to unhook it, then the bulb should just come out.

Besides the fact that the light is not very bright it's beam is also a bit low too. Tried to adjust it with the screw underneath but no matter how much I turned it nothing happened. Something wrong for sure. I'll buy a new bulb next week and have Kawasaki fix that problem and at the same time change the bulb. Luckily labour is extremely cheap here.

Ian,
pulling up did not help. Went to the local dealer and ask them to fix the lamp and at the same change the bulb. Took them 15 minutes. Surprisingly the oem bulb is a Phillips with 55/60 watts and not 25/30 as per t5he manual. Never mind, now I got a spare bulb. For changing the bulb they charged my 2 bucks only!
