Got my new Shinko's on my SF
Finally after owning the bike for however many yrs, I finally threw on some Shinko's, which for some strange reason are labelled Golden Boys... haha.. what a name ! Guess they must be the cheaper branding of the already cheap Shinko's ! Chinese rubber and all !
Anyway, not tested on the trails or sand yet, but if my road tires got thru all that, albeit with a slide here and there, then i'm sure my golden boys will work fine ! On the road, well, can't say i've cranked it over, but for straight lines and sweeping curves they're fine ! They turn fast, but i'm also guessing they'll not stop leaning if i go over too far... Will miss the road tires for this bike, as i did have fun on 'em, slipping and sliding all over the sand in the trails. And after a good trial of these, i may even switch back.. But i have other bikes, so not the end of the world, for me. anyway, here's the bike. funny enough its hard to find a good pic online with these tires on an SF...

I've been running the Shinko 244's on my SF for the last ~3500 miles and have been very happy. The rear is starting to show some wear, but should still be good for a couple thousand miles, and the front still looks nearly new. I feel like they don't give up much to street tires on the road, but are a vast improvement over slicks off the pavement. I'm planning on ordering another 244 for the rear when this one finally gets tired. Hard to beat for ~$78 set.
