Well after putting some miles on my bike the mods worked just fine. Settled on the jetting using 38 pilot 128 main 3-1/4 turns out on the fuel screw. DG exhaust using my old KDX 250 snorkel 274 ft above sea level. Bike runs lean at sea level no doubt. Testing the bike in the high dez the mixture is almost spot on above 3000 ft. Using the 40 pilot and 132 definitely makes the bike have more grunt but its really hard to dial in proper A/F with this pos cvk carb.

With my final set up the bike starts right up no choke 1 sec on the start button. Good enough to pick up the front end without clutch but you have to really shift your weight once the bike is vertical it's all ez from there. Put on some new Dunlop 606's along with heavy duty tubes took about 20 mins on both tire replacements. Bike really feels good in the dez with the 606's good bite steady traction in the wash hammers the whoops with a lot better throttle response. 15 pnds in the rear 12 in the front no rim locks and she's doing just fine. May ride little rock this weekend I just park the truck and do the loop to Mt Emma. They never charged me for an adventure pass either since I don't use any of the facility's and the truck don't get screwed with since it's right there next to the ranger booth.
