Default Front brake upgrades - KLX-300 front hub? KX master cylinder?

I've had a couple of close calls due to tire traction and poor braking recently "on the street" so, I'm pondering my brake upgrade options.

[ul][*]Which KX master cylinder should I be looking at?[*]For braided brake lines, what are my options?[*]Should I step up and and put a bigger front rotor on? If I do that, should I buy a KLX-300 hub and re-lace the spokes on my front rim? Is that something I can do myself or, do I need to take that to a shop so it will be "true" when re-laced? Will I see enough benefit to warrant the expense of a new rotor?[/ul]
Will a Dunlop D606 give me more traction on the street? I'm running 20PSI in the stock D603 and have plenty of tread life left. The outside nobbies show little wear and the central knobbies show even wear across the entire surface that hits the road. The front brakes aren't really giving mea significant problem since the front hasn't washed out on the street but, the soft feel and nose dive is probably causing me not to brake hard enough in front when I brake on the rear to the point of a rear tire lock up.

Am I missing something that will improve my braking performance in a panic stop beside working on my braking technique?

TIA,
Sid

Where I'm at, there is a lot of dirt and general debris on the road so traction isn't always at its best. I don't have problems off road, just on asphalt. I know if I let my weight move forward during braking, I'm unloading the rear which makes a lock up more likely - especially in a straight line hard stop.

#1. Buy some tyre levers.
#2. Get one of these. (Dunlop D604 90/90 21 H)

#3. Fit one of these.

Should be more than enough performance for a bike weighing less than 120KG.
Just change the front back, when you go off road, or not, Motard stlyeeeee.

IMO the tyre is the limiting factor and perhaps technique. The front brake even stock will easily lock the wheel. Practise on grass going slow locking the front and releasing so you donĀ“t fall off. Once you learn to lock it and release try it a little quicker (10 - 15mph) until you get the hang of it. What this does is to get you to recognize the feeling of the front wheel about to lock and back off just slightly.
IMO there is no point spending the money on bigger disks and suspension work (to help braking) unless you are going to fit road tyres. Having said that a Stainless Steel brake line is a cost effective way of improving the brakes. https://www.kawasakiforums.com/m_136812/tm.htm

There is everything to be gained from upping the KLX brakesfor on road use.

you talk alot about the front end dropping also.. i dropped a heavier set of springs in my forks over the winter. made a HUGE difference in the handling for the better.
