Default Finally! New sprockets, chain, and tires!

Chrismtas came early (and my birthday came late) and I got my goodies. Dunlop 606 tires (90/90/21 front and 120/90/18 rear), some TuffTubes, 14tooth replacement countershaft sprocket (it was definately time to replace, already hooked) and a 47-tooth rear sprocket, and a gold x-ring chain.

The pics!

What did the tires run you? I want another 606, but this stinking Kenda just won't wear out.

They went up since the summer. ~145$ for the set is what I paid through RockyMountaini.

My dad was running the Kenda rear, but his last tire was a Maxxis IT Desert, now he's trying the 606 with me.

Lookin good cliffsta. You'll be much happier once you get the stock rubber off there.

The 606 is a good tire, just be careful when you lean it over in a flat corner, it has the tendency to release with little or no warning. Otherwise it's fine. The guys I was riding with a little further south that ride in the sand really like it. But up here, in our soil which is a lot harder dirt and clay, it has that bad tendency I mentioned in the corners. At least that is my experience with it. It'll probably work well for you in Louisiana, though. Good luck!

That's good news about the sand, the trails we ride the most are very sandy in spots, lots of loose silt. I'm still scuffing them in and going through a few heat cycles before I hammer on them, but what I have ridden, its the increased height that's tripping me out right now, I'm definately taking it easy on the leaning for now, very uncomfortable after the stock, bald tires. I'm liking the new rear sprocket, too. I can almost come to a stop and give it gas and it'll take right off. Stock, you gotta use far too much clutch doing some stuff I did today in the yard.

They are purdy,...now get em dirty!!

I've got 606s front n rear and I like the off road traction. I have been impressed with them on what twisty pavement I've riden but they seem to be wearing pretty quickly and I don't do much pavement, mostly gravel/dirt fire roads n trails.
