Craigs List KLX find of the Day

KF Member's Bike
One of you ought to jump on this, FAST!!
2006 KLX250 -340cc's
2006 KLX250 -340cc's - $3000 (Bergen County)
This could be your dream commuter bike -it will happily do 60 on the highway. And then on the weekend it could be your trailbike- the 340 kit give this bike a nice low-rev torque curve.. Save $50 a week on gas with this and it pays for itself in a year and a half!!
Hate to do this but I have to sell her.
my '06 Kawasaki klx 250. It has under 3000 miles. Around 500 miles ago, I installed a BillBlue 340cc big bore kit and just last season I installed a brand new BillBlue Mikuni 34mm pumper carb. She has the Acerbis 3.7 gallon tank for all day rides, a nice HD skidplate, and aftermarket wide footpegs. New DOT knobbies front(Pirelli) and rear (Kenda) 200 miles ago. New Battery last year. Renthal pro taper bars, triple clamp mounted bark busters. Starts with one or two cranks of the electric start and idles nicely. I have the service manuals for you and two extra sets of tires too (One street/motard set and one set 50/50 dirt street) Opened up KLX300 exhaust and FSW header pipe. (Sounds ballsy) Previous owner had the flywheel lightened and only put 2000 miles on the bike, then I brought it to NJ from PA.
I have babied this bike, always garage kept, never ran it in the mud or rain, and the previous owner was even more OCD than I am. Very very nice shape, waay more power, grunt, and snap than the anemic stock 250.
Seriously the best $$ for the buck for a dual sport out there!!
email w/questions or to come over and check it out.
thanks for looking

That ugly Acerbis tank looks like nirvana when you're 90 miles out on a ride with 90 miles to go back to fuel. It also looks good slammed against the rocks with just a little scratch when the stock plastics would be all busted up!

Fo realizzle! That means for sure...LOL

I bought mine off Craig's list last week...a2006 with 918 miles on it...wanted 2499. Obo...bought it for 2k....it's like new. Only less expensive...everybody likes a bargain...it's got a whopping 1020 miles on it now. And I can't get the permigrin off my face

Thats the way to do it Hunter. You got pretty much the same bike they want 5k for at the dealer. PLenty of $$ left over for adding fun stuff to it.

Nice find, Hunter.
