EBC clutch plates with Barnett springs seem to be the recommended replacement IIRC (don't use the EBC springs)

What's the problem with ebc springs? I'm using it... I always felt that the clutch is too hard....

Should I buy the Barnett springs?

EBC springs are too soft, almost softer than stock when I received them. If you don't do the big bore kit don't worry about it.

How about the springs that come with ebc drc kit? They are supposed to be 15% stronger

Those are the same springs. Barnett springs are stronger.

Some years ago EBC had a bad batch of springs. They looked OK but the springs were not heat treated or some such. The springs wound up being too soft and compressing very quickly.

It's pretty well documented that this happened. Since then EBC had not had problems with their springs.

This being said I just installed the EBC clutch with springs and it does seem pretty feather weight to me. I'll probably wind up switching them out for Barnett. If I had this to do angain I would have probably used KX125 frictions and a single KLX250s friction to accommodate the judda spring. More area, OEM quality. Should hold fine with stock springs.

Here's my write up on clutch options for the 250s https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...h-notes-41905/
