cleaning klx250s wheels

coated
so the aluminum wheels aren't coated with something?
autosol is some good stuff.

However using autosol on a monthly basis for 2+ years doesn't show any deterioration on the wheels, only a sparkling result.

i use WD-40 works pretty good and cheap. I actually started using it after my first chain lube went slightly wrong. Ended up having chain lube all over my back tire/wheel and on the brake pads. WD-40 cleaned it right up!

After cleaning the wheels again, I kept getting black oxidation on my spokes after a day or so.
Tested the spokes with a magnet, no kidding, and it stuck, the wheels, the magnet didn't stick.
so while the wheels are aluminum, the spokes are not can not say for sure if there s.s or some other type of metal, but not aluminum for sure.
Going to have to hand polish all the spots off my spokes.
I got some "White Diamond" wheel cleaner just for stainless steel.
Its vanilla scented and will help to ease my mind while I spend hours getting this crap off my wheel.
a word of advice, I wouldn't polish your spokes with mag cleaner. unless its s.s mag cleaner, and only the spokes.
