Default Bye bye Klx250s

I just sold my Klx250s last weekend to new owners who will certainly enjoy it as much as I did. I thoroughly enjoyed wrenching on this bike and farkling it up. I wish to thank all those who have spent countless hours figuring things out and spending their hard earned money trialing different setups, jetting, dyno testing and generally figuring out what works and what doesn't. This is truly a great community working together on a great bike.

For me, not sure what's next. Maybe a Royal Enfield, maybe a 60s bmw restoration, maybe a quad, maybe a ktm 450 or 690...I'll have to see what catches my eyes!

This thread would have been useless without at least one picture.

Mods were:
Led headlight
Decal kit
Emissions removal + cold air intake block off plate
Q4 exhaust
Jet kit
Ims fuel tank
Skid plate
Rad guard
Aluminum habdlebar
Bark busters
Quick bypass sidestand switch
MCM, kacr removal
Xr650 gear shifter
Rear signal relocation (because of exhaust)

I had mine sold 2 wees ago and I backed out. I took it for a ride to make sure it was all kosher before telling the fella to come over and look at it. Runs too good to part with. I'll just keep it as a back up. The drz400s is a blast and way more power but the klx has something about it.

I have been eyeing a Beta 300RR or the Xtrainer. 300cc Two Stroke. best part is they come with DOT tires, Horn, Signal switch, and Brake light. They are pre wired for turn signals but they don't have them stock. Same with a mirror.

The power is very linear. You can just about idle up a hill.

Royal Enfield or a KTM, WOW, that's a stretch. I guess you are undecided....LOL Either way, it's a bike. Hate to see anyone go, but I'll be there someday when I sell my KLX for a Beta XTrainer. Take care, and ride safe...!!

The lever is msr 070707. Much better fit and easier reach with boots on.

I landed a good deal on a 2015 vstrom 650, with all the luggage and crash bar installed... Can't wait to pick it up. I came very close to a Triumph 800 and bmw f800gs but they all had history of oil leaks, electronic problems, bad bearings, etc... so I decided to stay Japanese, and of course the Africa Twin isn't available yet. I will miss playing in the sand pits.
