Default Battery choice

Any thoughts on a replacement battery. Currently have an Everstart which didn't last too long.

I'm interested in any thoughts as well. Something light and strong.

The best batteries I have ever had said YUASA on the side. Cost a bit more but last. A neverstart lasted less than a year in my riva scooter that is rarely used and was replaced with a yuasa a year and a half ago and is still just fine.

I get an easy 5 to 6+ years with the YUASA batteries with No issues. They have never let me down. I honestly don't think the Lithium Ion batteries are worth the money, qwerks, different charger, etc, just to save a few lbs on a heavy, average trail bike. If I had a new Beta or KTM and was racing enduros, then I could see maybe going that route. Of course, this is just my opinion.

You might rethink that or make sure you have fire/theft/vandalism coverage on your insurance.

After seeing the pictures of a KTM 950, on the ADVrider forum where the lithium battery did the "hover board/Samsung Galaxy S7" flame on, I'll live with the slightly heavier standard gel batteries. The bike was pretty well melted up and roasted a bit. Not a pretty sight.

Agree with this and Werloc's comments. I've been owning/riding bikes since 1970. Yuasa batteries have had a better track record than just about anything else I've seen over many years. Specialty, high tech, lightweight batteries have a place, but if you want solid, reliable, relatively long lasting motorcycle batteries, Yuasa is a great choice.

... and like M&Ms, they won't melt in your hand!
