i am very sad because it was the first time that the bike had enough power....

I like the klx250s, but it is too slow for my needs and i dont want to spent much money for 351 kit, etc.

Now that i am calmed, i am thinking to buy a WR250R with 27HP wheel power and the dual sport character of the klx250S.... Any opinions?
Well, you're on a KLX forum, so don't expect a lot of rah-rah for the WRR. I've ridden a few friend's and acquaintence's WRR's, and there's one aspect about them I don't like. Even with some very decent mods, they don't have a really broad powerband like the KLX does, especially down low. Once you're at mid-range and above the WRR comes on strong, but I think they're a little weak when you try to lug them on the trail, which tends to happen with any off road bike no matter how you try to keep them wicked up. I would clearly pick the WRX over the KLXSF for pavement use where this isn't really an issue, but when it comes to off road, the KLX has so much more low end potential IMO.

My friend, who I ride a lot with, has a 2008 WR250R. I don't think you're getting 27HP to the wheel, though. Online reviews (comparing the KLX250S to the WR250R) showed about 19-20HP for the KLX250s and 24 for the WR250R - although I did see one that did show 26.8HP for the WR. The WR also tends to have the power up more in the RPM range, whereas the KLX is a little better down-low (where most of my riding is), so there's not a big difference between the two bikes unless we're doing a flat-out drag race, then he can pull away a little.

Get a good used CRF 450X ( the enduro version with lighting coil) The power is slightly more manageable than the CRF 450 R MX model and can be plated with minimal effort. The power will make your teeth bleed compared to WR250R. ( Which does not make a real 27HP on the wheel.) The WR250 feels no different really to the KLX. A bit more on top with less at the bottom than the KLX 250 standard. Or if you really like Kawasaki, get a 331 KLX. I love mine. ( I also have the Honda 450, but most days prefer the mild mannered 331.)
