Default ARC Timing?

I removed my ARC when I did the MCM mod but now that I going to the 351 BB I would like to install the ARC back on the cam. Does anyone have a picture of the ARC installed in the head in the TDC position.

I only have this one picture to go by (not mine). I installed my ARC in the same position on the cam.

Stock position:

"Easy Kick" position:

There's about 10 degrees difference.

Perfect, thanks for the pics. I have mine set for the easy kick position. In my readings I know that the 300 used a different ARC timing then the 250 and many 300 owners retimed to the 250 to make the kick starter gear last longer. My next obvious question would be which time setting would be better for the 351 BB? I losely calculated that the "easy kick" timing postion would close the EX valve approx. 30° BTDC.

I'm not convinced that the retiming of the ACR is responsible for the increased life span of the idler gear, being that it only comes into play when starting the engine. Splash lubrication of the idler gear bushing is questionable.
But one thing for sure, the "easy kick" position is good for our right leg!

Sell no need to worry about the right leg, just the starter. I retimed it advanced to a touch more. I just didn't feel confident I wouldn't have a starting issue in that position.

Here is the position of the ARC with the cam at TDC. If someone can comment if this is the stock timing for the stock klx250 it would be appreciated.

Your last photo isn't opening for me.
I don't have any photos of the cam/acr installed to refer to. Sorry 'bout that.

You should see it now. I'll take another picture similar to the first one later tonight.

I still can't get your photo to open. Does anyone else see it?

The relationship between the ACR and the cam lobes is what I'd be concerned with and that can be seen in your first photo.
