Default Anyone have a Powercore 4 Quietcore insert 040630 you don't need?

Long shot time...

I've been searching for a powercore Quietcore insert, part# 040630 for my Q4 without luck.

There are several places who have them in stock but they either don't ship to Taiwan or want $50-$100+ to ship. I'm used to being screwed on shipping but this thing can't be THAT big and heavy. No luck on eBay either...

Anyone happen to have one you'd sell and ship to Taiwan?

This has got to be the first time I've had this problem.

Sorry, I'm not being too helpful here, but I had my local motorcycle shop order one (for my FMF PowerCore4) - JUNE of LAST YEAR. Needless to say, it was backordered and they never did get it in. So, after waiting 2 months, I just made one myself out of sheet metal. Took some sheet metal, about 3" long, and rolled it into a cylinder shape, so it had the outside diameter of the inside diameter of the end of the muffler. I then made 3/4" cuts into the 'inside' end of the cylinder and folded them in, so it resulted in a 'cone' at that end. The diameter of the hole on the 'cone' end is about 3/4" or slightly smaller. It made a drastic improvement in noise level with no discernable difference in power output. I easily noticed a dramatic difference in the bike between the stock muffler (very quiet, but low on power) and the PC4, without a baffle, and then no noticeable difference with the baffle in.

I ordered mine through http://www.canadasmotorcycle.ca/ and got it in 5 days with free shipping (domestic).

I'd offer to send you mine, but I just checked Canada post and they want 50 bucks to send it.

I ordered one online without any issues only days after installing the pc4 due to the volume level.

I checked online for a ball park figure of the cost to have one shipped to your country, it came out at around £25.

I don't have an Q4. I have a Powercore4 muffler and need a quiet insert with spark arrestor. I don't know what one to get. There are many listed, but don't know which one is correct for my PC4...?

Didn't mean to hijack this thread.

That same part fits both the PC4 and Q4 FYI.

I don't think it was intended for the Q4, but it fits the same as the Q4 insert, it's just a little bit more restrictive and cuts out a lot of that noisy low-end tone thump.

Yeah, that's what I need. You gotta be stealthy on my local trails or locals complain about the noise. I gotta order this next week.

Thanks again....

A "bomb" header also makes the bike much, much quieter. I found the Q4 with a stock header unacceptable. but totally fine with the Chinese power bomb header. it makes a huge difference. The FMF Power Bomb header achieves the same result but it costs a lot more.
