air filter check and oil

Oil filter gets replaced...
Air filter gets cleaned with dawn soap and water.
K&N spray on oil is fine to use on any filter afaik.
I never really understood the appeal of the spray on filter oil. You still have to work it into the filter with your hands so it's not really saving time or convenience.

I also use Dawn dish soap and warm water. Then after it's dry, I oil it with foam filter oil in a big plastic Zip Loc freezer bag. Keeps my hands clean and holds filter until I use it. Some use gloves or both. Used this method for 30 years.

I saw the oil for the uni-filter and it looks like a quart of oil!
but the people who make the uni-filter have a aerosol type oil.
the filter was somewhat dirty, and wasn't oiled at all.
just a dry foam.
i'm gonna try the k&n aerosol spray, see how long that lasts, and probably use the uni-filter oil in a quart next time if the aerosol doesn't work out.
