Just a quick update: looks like it will be Monday night before I have the parts bike. I will contact those who have replied or sent PM's as soon as I get the bike home and look it over. Thanks all.

 

OK, I picked up the bike last night and got it home so I could remove the plastics and look it over. First thing I learned is that I do not want to rear end a semi trailer with my bike. 21 year old kid broke both legs and is lucky to be alive. He put a nice gusset in the frame right at the bottom of the stem. Frame is trashed, plastics are for the most part a mess, all lights and turn signals are damaged or missing (not sure how much was accident related), half of radiator is damaged, levers are bent/broken. Fires right up and runs perfectly, front and rear wheels appear to be true and unmarked, forks are fine, all electronics and starter obviously are fine since it runs right.

I am leaving Friday for two weeks of travel, so I can't ship anything until sometime the week of June 8th, but I have the previously sent PM's and I will figure out some asking prices as soon as I get back to town. If you are interested in anything that is worth the effort to package and ship please drop me a PM. I will respond in the order they are received. Copy of title and photo of VIN sticker available upon request, and I will post a video of the bike running when I return if not before. I will not part out the engine; would like to sell it on here but if there is no interest it will go on fleaBay when I return. Pics below:

 

WOW! That thing hit something hard and fast! How is it the front wheel looks that straight?

 

The front wheel passed under the bumper hoop in the trailer...at least that's how it looks. The bumper hit the forks below the triple clamp and the frame was the weakest point, so it folded right there. It is now the anti-chopper.

looking at those pictures brings back memories... I folded my 2009klx the same way after getting cut off by a cab!
Besides the left radiator and plastics breaking, nothing else got bent on the bike just the frame

That would be a great motor to do the big bore kit on and then you could still ride your bike till it was all ready for the swap out.

 

Are you still selling parts? I could use a few.

 

Let me know if the headlight rubber boot with wire pig tail is still available. If it is maybe I'll take some other odds and ends since your already shipping something my way.
