2001 Super Sherpa Value?
Hey everyone,
Just joined the forums and am excited to be added to the ranks. I'm looking on getting my first bike, a 2001 Super Sherpa. It's got a bit over 5k on the odometer, and appears to be in very good condition. Found it on craigslist with the following description:
"Very good condition - 5,167 mileage - tool kit and service manual, rear rack, custom oil cooler, high front fender, hand guards, Seat Concepts comfort seat, new battery"
They are asking $1800, does that sound like a fair price? I'll try to post a pic... if i can figure out how to do it.
Thanks everyone!

Key point is how many Supersherpas have you found? I don't think they're very common. They weren't a strong seller from what I remember (worked in bike sales back then). They do have the low seat height so many want, so demand may drive the price. By book, it's probably too high, but condition and availability may make that $1800 a fair buy.
Offer $1500 and see if the owner will bite, but also consider - what is it worth to YOU. If you like it paying extra isn't a big deal I did that with my truck, 96 Ranger V6 5sp flair side NO RUST. Paid at or above book, but everythng I saw were rusty or 4 poppers. It was worth paying more.
